Counting Frequencies

Using Quattro Pro, I have a column of numbers for which I wish to
calculate the most frequent and its frequency, and also the second most
frequent and its frequency.

The first is easy - @MODE to get the value and @COUNTIF to count its
frequency. Can anyone suggest a way of calculating the second without
requiring manual intervention, since the column is transient and
generated halfway through a macro?
