Hi,

I installed VIM7.1 on linux machine and login from windows, each time
I start vim, I always get an error first: e233 cannot open display. It
does not hurt as I can enter it off, but it is annoying.

I tried -s option, it does not help.

Any idea how to prevent the err msg?

Which Linux-distribution you are using? Is there any packages that hold
Vim without support for X Window System? Normally /usr/bin/vim is a
vim-binary without X-support and /usr/bin/gvim is a vim with X-support.
