Overheard:
"Programming with C is like using a sharp knife with no handle. C++ has
made the knife much sharper. Java glued the knife in the sheath."
Whether this is good or bad depends on your biases. Remember that those
who sell short, an increase in th eprice of a stock they hold is a
bad thing.
Programming languages are apolitical (with the exception of a short lived
Berkly commentary on BSD in the 70s which went something like "There is no
wheel group in BSD because this creates a bourgeoisie set of class
distinction between users. Unix is a non-fascist operating system."
By the way, if anyone still has the original of th eabove quote, I would
love to hear from you!!

it took the glued knife in the sheath, sharpened part of the sheath, and
spray painted the whole thing with glitter paint. then, ms patented it.
